Gurso Bugyal: 3 kms from Auli, Gurso Bugyal is a huge meadow spread amidst a mixed forest of oaks and conifers.t is just 1.5 kilometres from the last tower of ropeway. Come here enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the snowfields lined with forests of oak and conifer. The place rests in peace and calmness as it is devoid of any commercial activity, it is just the kind of place where you can spend an entire day admiring the beauty and return to Auli then.

Chattrakund: While on trip to Gurso Bugyal, just a kilometre ahead is Chattrakund which you can easily include in your trip. In the centre of jungle is this sweet water lake called Chattrakund, the lake is small yet the view of a small beautiful lake is like a scene out fairy tale.

Kwani Bugyal: Twelve kilometres from Gurso, is another beautiful meadow, Kwani bugyal. The place is at a height of 3350 meters and is quite popular with trekkers. Nanda Devi hotel in Joshimath organises camps here with all the facilities of cooks, guides, camping equipment here. In summers, it is like one big camp going on here as trekkers from all over camp here.

Joshimath:12 kms from Auli in the Chamoli District is this town with many temples and memorials. It is a gateway to Badrinath and the Valley of Flowers.

 Auli Adventure sports

Skiing: The skiing center was set up in Auli in 1984. The Uttar Pradesh State Government has a branch called Garhwal Mandal Corporation which runs this center. Professionally trained people have been employed for teaching, a vertical drop of 500 metres and snow fields inviting skiers from all over the country, Auli has emerged as a major skiing destination. All the facilities for skiing are available here on hire. You just have to be here to enjoy the fun. Auli is considered the best skiing slope in Asia. Both sides of the slope are covered with oak and coniferous trees which break the speed of the wind and this makes it ideal for skiing.

Mountaineering: A Perfect Destination For Winter Sports. Auli has some of the best trekking options on the chellanging treks of Himalayas, besides Auli also facilitates mountaineering adventure sports.Auli has one of the best slopes in the world. The 3km long slope ranges from 2519 m to 3049 m offers a magnificent panoramic view of great Himalayan peaks like the Nanda Devi(7817m), Kamet(7756m), Mana Parvat(7273m) and Dunagiri(7066m). You could reach Auli from Joshimath(1890m) by taking an enchanting 3 km ride on the world’s most highly situated and longest ropeway(cable car). A round trip costs Rs 200/- per person.

 Ropeway: Another attraction here is a sight-seeing trip between Joshimath and Auli by a ropeway. This ropeway is 4 km long one and is called the Rajju and is at a height of 1917 mts to 3027 mts above sea level. This is the longest and the second highest ropeway in Asia. Two passenger cabins are used in this. Each cabin can accommodate from 20 to 25 people. This whole trip passes through ten towers.
