Day
1 BANGALORE
On arrival in Bangalore, meet,
assist and transfer to your
hotel. Bangalore is aptly called
the ‘Garden City’, because
of its many beautiful gardens
and parks. In the afternoon
proceed for a city tour. The
tour includes a visit to the
18th-century Tipu Sultan’s
Fort and Palace, the Lal Bagh
Botanical Gardens, where a
number of flower shows are held,
the 16th-century Bull Temple,
which is a Dravidian-style
temple dedicated to Nandi the
Bull, and a drive past
Vidhanasoudha, or the State
Secretariat. Overnight in

Day
2 MYSORE
Morning
drive to Mysore (4 hrs.),
enroute visiting Tipu Sultan’s
summer Palace at Srirangapatnam,
which is 16 kms north of Mysore.
Srirangapatnam means “Port of
the Lord of the World”. It is
an ancient religious site on an
island in the river Kaveri. Upon
arrival in Mysore, check into
your hotel. Afternoon proceed on
a city tour. Mysore, the old
capital town, has the
magnificent Maharaja’s Palace,
Chamundi Hill and the Art
Gallery, with a fine collection
of paintings & musical
instruments. In the evening
visit Brindavan Gardens. The
tranquil ornamented gardens are
laid out below the Krishnaraja
Sagar and are Illuminated in the
evening. The musical fountains
and colourful lights turns this
place into an enchanting
fairyland in the evenings.

Day
3 OOTY
Morning drive to the ‘Queen of
hill station’s which is Ooty
(6 hrs.) in the Nilgiri Hills.
Upon arrival check into your
hotel. Rest of the day at
leisure. The Nilgiris are one of
the oldest mountain ranges,
older than the Himalayas. Lofty
mountains, dense forest,
sprawling grasslands and miles
and miles of tea gardens greet
you as you approach. A number of
outdoor activities can be
enjoyed here… there is a golf
course, or you can opt for a
walk or trek to enjoy the
magnificent surroundings.
Springs, rivers and rivulets,
grasslands, natural forests (shola)
– with a wide variety of
rhododendrons and orchids,
man-made eucalyptus and pine
forests all add to the
experience. Overnight in Ooty. |
Day 4
OOTY
In
the morning after breakfast,
proceed for a sightseeing tour
which includes Dodabetta, the
highest peak (Altitude – 2623
mts.) of the Nilgiri range.
Visit the Botanical gardens –
20 hectares of immaculate lawns,
lily ponds and beds with more
than a thousand varieties of
shrubs, flowers and trees. In
the evening enjoy a visit to
Ooty lake… there are
paddleboats, rowboats and even
motorboats on the lake to choose
from. Overnights in Ooty.
